What Area of Costa Rica is Best for You?

but WAIT! Before you take the quiz… read below 👇

Things to take into consideration while choosing an area:

Choosing the right area of Costa Rica can make or break the success of your move. But always remember, that if you do find yourself in an area that’s not suitable, you can always shift gears and try somewhere else (that’s why it’s important not to jump into impulsive real estate purchases until you’re 100% sure of your area). Below are some points that I want you to consider as you are taking the areas Quiz.

  1. Climate: Different regions of Costa Rica have varying climates, ranging from tropical rainforests to cooler mountainous areas. Consider your preferences for temperature and precipitation when choosing your location.
  2. Accessibility: Determine the accessibility of the area in terms of transportation infrastructure, proximity to major cities, and ease of reaching amenities such as hospitals, schools, and shopping centers.
  3. Safety: Research the safety reputation of the area, including crime rates and any potential natural hazards such as flooding or landslides.
  4. Cost of living: Evaluate the cost of living in the area, including housing prices, utilities, groceries, and other expenses. Keep in mind that costs may vary significantly between the beach and mountain/city areas.
  5. Healthcare: Investigate the availability and quality of healthcare facilities in the area, including hospitals, clinics, and doctors’ offices.
  6. Community and amenities: Consider the community atmosphere and available amenities such as restaurants, recreational facilities, cultural activities, and social events.
  7. Infrastructure: Assess the quality of infrastructure in the area, including road conditions, internet connectivity, and availability of utilities such as electricity and water.
  8. Cultural integration: Explore opportunities for cultural integration and language learning in the area, as well as the presence of expatriate communities or support networks for newcomers.
  9. Schools: Last but not least, if you have kids, make sure there is actually a suitable school option there for them at the age they are now and as they grow.

In my opinion, it’s best to come to see & feel the areas for yourself, but how should you know exactly where to go?
